Our Vision
YFC envisions a community in which individuals can contribute to those in vulnerable situations through providing assistance, offering compassion, and giving back to the community.

Certifications
YFC has also received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award which allows us to award volunteer hours. Additionally, we as a 501c3 nonprofit allows
us to receive tax-deductible contributions

Our Team

Lauren Choi
Co-Founder & Secretary
Lauren Choi is a middle school 7th grader in Orange County. She has her interest in art, dance, and photography. She enjoys socializing with friends. She is fluent in both Korean and English thanks to her experience in both countries. She has volunteered many times at school. For example, when she was living in Korea, she was chosen to be the class president for about 3 years.

Matthew Hsieh
Co-Founder & President 2023-2024
Matthew Hsieh is a high school junior from Orange County, California. He has participated and grown an interest in entrepreneurship and collaboration with others. He is constantly persisting in helping those around him grow and loves learning along the way.
Amber Choi
Co-Founder & Co-President 2023-2024
Amber Choi is a freshman at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She likes to socialize with her friends and family. She enjoys not only socializing with people but also playing with animals. She has especially wanted a pet dog since she was very little. Her birthday wish is always having a Golden Retriever friend. With her affection on pets, she dreams to be a vet friendly to animals.

Missy Toya
Member 2025-2026
Missy Toya is a sophomore in Orange County. She enjoys hanging out with her close friends and socializing with people. She is passionate in dancing, as well as cheerleading. She also likes to spend time with her dog and her family in her free time. She is very dedicated and motived by being open to learning new things.

Joey Kwon
Member 2025-2026
Joey Kwon is a senior at Irvine High School. He loves spending time with friends and playing instruments. He shows compassion towards others and harbors a desire to help the community with the skills he has. He is always looking forward to being able to contribute and help others when needed.
